Fields of interest: Extent and consequences of alcohol use in relation to the work arena and in relation to traffic. Identification of groups of children and adolescents with a high risk of developing drug abuse.

Moan has a master’s degree in psychology from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim (2000) and a doctor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oslo (2005). After completing her thesis she worked two years as a researcher at the Institute of Transport Economics. Since January 2007 Moan has worked at SIRUS. Research interests and publications cover topics such as prediction of health- and risk-related behaviours, theories of motivation and self-regulation, and consequences of alcohol- and drug use. She is a member of the editorial board in the journals Psychology & Health, Accident Analysis & Prevention, Applied Psychology: An International Review, European Addiction Research and Addiction.
